How it all started!

Why are more God honoring believers not convinced that we should meet according to the New Testament’s pattern for the local church? Some of us have experienced the joy and blessing of gathering in the name of the Head of the Church, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It’s really a fulfillment of His promise, “If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them” (John 13: 17). Perhaps it’s because they’ve not been taught or even know the importance that Christians, as accurately as possible, come together according to God’s Holy Word.

As a media professional I’ve viewed the effectiveness of communicating electronically in the media age we live in. It’s inspired me, and I believe it’s of the Lord, to help God’s assembly communicate the truth that Christians are commanded by God to gather in the way He instructs so that His Beloved Son has the preeminence – “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.” This was how the apostle Paul worded it so that the Corinthian church would obey Christ and His Word above everything.

My effort is geared to share the blessings of assembly New Testament principles and make them available to all Christians. This production is to be a tool to create enough curiosity among other Christians to study the scriptures about these matters.

God’s use of media is Biblical – and later electronically enhancing it is without question. Consider the many songs that were mandated for all Israel to hear and learn as a means of establishing and disseminating God’s truth. Moses and David used it (Deuteronomy 32: 44; 2Samuel 1: 17-18). Paul said, “For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of PREACHING to save them that believe.” Then think too of Revelation 15:3, “And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.” In these last days we can see God’s merciful use of communicating Gospel through radio and television to save man’s souls.

This all brought me to make a short invitation video (not a teaching video) using believers from diverse backgrounds and the Scriptures to testify what it means to meet on Christian redemption ground.

We have already found the questions and the scriptures that are used in the video interviews to be profitable to the saints who review them.Readers have been refreshed & moved to rediscover the basis for, “Why do we meet as we do?”

Primarily it has to do with believers gathering to glorify God by trusting that His design for the local church as the way to gather in order to grow in grace and truth. To meet according to God’s Word should be the intent of all Christians and not what is expedient or personally pleasing to those in assembly fellowship.

In this age of electronic communication when a Christian asks us, ‘Why do you go to such a small church like your assembly?’ a short video showing New Testament gathering truths can meet a need that that a long discourse or a lengthy article will not accomplish. By the grace of God it might help us reconnect with the Generation X and millennials.

Our team prays that God would use this video and other future endeavors as a means to invigorate, revive, and even raise up other New Testament patterned meetings throughout the world. There has been interest reproducing the original video for other cultures and languages. Much work is entailed to produce and distribute the video. We earnestly pray for your fellowship in this work for our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for your interest in this ministry.
